South African born Dr. Venita Ramanna is a family physician. She currently lives and works in Calgary. She has loved reading and writing, especially poetry, since childhood. She has two daughters who encouraged her to publish a poem that she wrote several years ago. Hop, Stop or Go, her first book was published in 2021. The Great PB&J Plan published in 2025 is her second book, inspired by the empathy and kindness of her grandnephew.
